To qualify for the free PlayStation Plus subscription for 14 days, you do not need to have previously subscribed to PS+ with the account you are using.

From the PS4 or PC, go to the PlayStation Plus (big yellow “+” on the console), and if you have access to the 14 days free subscription, you’ll have a button to take advantage of it directly (feel free to browse the page).

It all depends on whether two people are playing on the same console or online. If you’re playing online, so each of you at home on your own PS4, each of you must have a PlayStation Plus subscription and the game in question (you can use the share feature if only one of you owns the game, however).

If you need to connect two controllers to the PS4 to play “local” :

If the controller is already in use on this PS4, just turn it on.
If the controller is not used on this PS4, it must be connected to the console with the USB cable so that the PS4 recognizes it (this is called “pairing”).

First of all, your USB key (or external hard drive) must be formatted in FAT or exFAT, otherwise it will not be recognized.

You can play video, audio and photo files on your PlayStation 4. However, be careful not to put the files at the root of the USB stick, but in folders: “MUSIC” for music, and any name you want for folders containing videos and photos.

Simply plug it into one of the USB ports on the front of the PS4, then go to the “Media Player” application on the console. Your USB key will then appear in the list.

Simply browse the list of titles on the PlayStation Store by price, some of which are offered for free (MMOs, for example, because they have a micro-transaction system that allows you to move faster through the game).

With a PlayStation Plus subscription, you automatically get 2 free full games every month (and sometimes “AAA” titles).
